Genetically, Esmire is a ‘mock mother’, a grub born with all the sexual organs of male and female trolls, and could make eggs if she wanted to, but unfortunately all turn out duds. Being a mock mother also means having a higher sexual drive. This doesn’t stop her from going into heat cycles, and it takes all of her will power to curb her instincts. Part of the reason why she is a hermit (other than being a freak of nature) and occupies her time with art. It’s not surprising at all to see this slip into her creations and conversations, and other trolls think she’s a huge creepo. (Well, she is.) Take caution in showing her any buckets and pails, they don’t quite have the same effect on her as other trolls would respond to.. perhaps akin to a bouquet of flowers made of condoms?

Kind of an interesting concept, actually. I don’t think it’s so bad.

If only they didn’t have such prominent… features. That’s just outside of the style of Homestuck and fucks it up a little. It’s like having a male Sonic character with a schlong. It doesn’t work with the style. Maybe if it were an original character, I’d dig it more. But I don’t see it being a Homestuck character.
